Srinagar, Sept 09 (KNO): Cinema, culture and youth participation came together on the third day of the ongoing International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJ&K), with students from colleges and the University of Kashmir joining festival screenings and programmes in Srinagar.
Students attended screenings, masterclasses and interactive sessions with filmmakers and cinema professionals, adding a youthful energy to the festival and offering them an opportunity to engage with different aspects of filmmaking and the creative process.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the festival’s cinematic experience was complemented by a series of cultural programmes organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL).
Local artists also participated in performances held at prominent venues including the Jhelum Riverfront at Rajbagh, Old Zero Bridge, Sher-i-Kashmir Park, Nishat Garden and SKICC.
The programmes feature traditional music, folk performances and other artistic expressions, giving festival delegates, visiting filmmakers, students and local audiences a glimpse into Jammu & Kashmir’s rich cultural traditions.
Notably, the IFFJ&K will conclude on September 10, with cultural programmes scheduled at designated venues from 5 pm to 7 pm—(KNO)
